Scope of Services:

The Regional Municipality of Peel is deploying Mobile Data Collectors (MDC) to track and report winter maintenance activities undertaken by their winter maintenance fleet and daily Road Patrol monitoring. The Region of Peel Transportation Division/Roads Operations is currently undertaking a review of its winter maintenance operations and intends to implement an automated vehicle locator and global positioning system (AVL/GPS) wireless technology solution for tracking and reporting its winter maintenance activities. This is a pilot project for the Region.

Project Description:

Intelligent Devices and Delcan have been appointed to deploy Phase 1, pilot project, which includes installing 6 AVL units (MDC004), auxiliary equipment and Intelligent NETworks® AVL module. IDI and Delcan will also be providing an interface through which information will be made available to Hansen, LiveLink, and Geomedia. This will allow the Region to easily use the MDC data with their existing software infrastructure.
